In June 2014 Hillary Clinton said the following concerning the attack in Benghazi that took four American lives, “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they’d they go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?”
Hillary Clinton knows the answer to this question now, she knew it back then but decided to perpetrate a lie and cover-up on the American public.
What difference does it make? All the difference in the world.
I was motivated to write this after seeing someone post the following on a friends FaceBook post about the Clinton testimony before Congress on Thursday;
“I didn’t watch the hearings but I did listen to the CNN reports and they said that Hillary came through it fine and nothing new of substance was revealed.”
The problem with not viewing source material is that you have to take the word of the person giving you the information. CNN (now known as Clinton News Network) couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s not the first time, nor will it be the last time, that a national news outlet makes the news fit their viewpoint instead of just reporting the news.
Remember this the next time you use Wikipedia. Who writes Wikipedia? Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia anyone can edit. Really? Anyone? Yep.
I’m old enough to remember the Watergate hearings. They were long, they were boring, and they eventually led to the incarceration of certain individuals and the downfall and resignation of President Richard Nixon. Both Republicans and Democrats in Congress were interested in one thing. The truth.
The Senate and House were in the hands of the Democrats in 1973 when the Watergate hearings started. President Nixon was a Republican, I doubt you’ll find a news report calling the hearings a political witch hunt. The Senate voted 77-0 to establish a select committee to investigate Watergate, it was a bipartisan vote. It was a Republican who asked one witness if they knew of recording equipment in the Oval Office. (This must be true, I found it in Wikipedia.)
What became apparent back then and has held true through most of my life, the cover-up is always worse than the crime or events leading to the cover-up.
Compare that to the day long testimony given on Capitol Hill by former Secretary of State and presumed Democratic Presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton. It was long, it was mostly boring, but while the Republicans were determined to get the truth for the families of the four Americans that gave their lives in Benghazi the Democrats were running cover for Clinton. Elijah Cummings, ranking minority member of the committee, even went as far as to complain about the taxpayer money being spent on the investigation. This from the party of Bernie Sanders whose campaign promises will cost Americans over $18 trillion over the next decade. (If you can ‘feel the Bern’ it’s probably your paycheck and savings going up in smoke.) Cummings false indignation was akin to throwing a fit because the nutritional value of the maraschino cherry on top of a six scoop hot fudge and caramel sundae did not meet school lunch standards. This is political theater at its best, for sure.
In response to the friend of my friend this is what CNN overlooked telling you —
(Pay attention here dear readers.)
To quote the most famous line to come out of the Watergate hearings,
“What did you know, and when did you know it?”
Hillary Clinton knew that the attack on the US compound in Benghazi, Libya on the night of September 11, 2012 was a planned al-Qaeda type of attack. That the attack did not grow out of a spontaneous protest of RPG carrying citizens angry over an obscure YouTube video. When did Hillary Clinton know these things? That very night, the night it happened. How do we know Hillary Clinton knew this and when she knew it? That very night Clinton sent an email to her daughter stating what she knew about the attacks and Hillary Clinton sent a communication to the Egyptian Prime Minister stating that the attacks had nothing to do with the video.
To everyone else in America, the families of the four who lost their lives, Hillary Clinton lied.
Here she is standing in front of four flag draped caskets, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSooz2wXpes , her remarks run from 0:45 to 1:13. After which you see President Obama promise he will bring those responsible to justice. Just as he promised about the Fast and Furious scandal; the IRS scandal; the VA scandal; ad infinitum.
It was widely reported at the time that then Secretary Clinton promised the father of one of the Navy Seals who died that night that they were going to “arrest and prosecute” the man that made the YouTube video. Never let the 1st Amendment get in the way of a good lie.
Then our Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, went on every Sunday talk show to promote the “video caused the protest” lie. Why wasn’t this left for Hillary Clinton to do? After all, one of those killed was a US Ambassador, under the employ and direction of Clinton. It is only speculation at this point but I’m guessing Clinton didn’t want to have to say anything that could be used against her. She had a presidential election in her future, her destiny, “My Precious”, and answering hard questions is never a good thing when you’re a politician.
For prostituting herself, Susan Rice was rewarded with a promotion to National Security Adviser.
Two weeks later Obama spoke in front of the UN General Assembly and alluded to the video as being the cause for the violence as well.
And the film maker, he was arrested. Yes, it was for a parole violation, rotten luck for him. If we arrested all those with parole violations the population of Detroit would be 47, Chicago 547, and NYC would be 10,047. Gotta keep that lie rolling along.
The question remains why did Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, and Barack Obama lie?
Why tell a lie? A lie like this takes on a life of its own. It is like standing on thin ice when you hear a crack below your feet. With each heartbeat and breath new fissures appear, none working in your favor. Why?
The answer is simple. The mantra of Obama’s re-election campaign was ‘Bin Laden is dead, al-Qaeda is on the run, and the world under President Obama is a safer place.’ There was no room for terrorist attacks against Americans 56 days before the election.
Forget why Ambassador Chris Stevens was in Benghazi in the first place.
Forget the plethora of requests Stevens made to the State Dept. for additional security.
Clinton said that she left security up to the security professionals. Makes one wonder why she didn’t leave her email and email security to the IT professionals and felt the need to set up her own email server. Hillary wants you to believe she didn’t know how to set up two email accounts on one device, or ask for help doing so, yet knew it was possible to set up your own email server in your home.
Forget about the 10,000 reasons Hillary Clinton is not qualified to be President of the United States.
Forget it all but remember this, as I paraphrase Martin Luther King Jr., “I look to a day when people will not be judged by an x or a y chromosome, but by the content of their character.”
In 1973 Americans discovered there were 18.5 minutes of tape recording missing from tapes of conversations held in the Oval Office. President Nixon was ordered by the Supreme Court to turn those tapes over to Watergate investigators.
Forty years later we learn that over 30,000 emails were deleted from a private server containing the private email account of the former Secretary of State, received and sent while serving ‘We the People’.
Hillary wants us to believe her when she says that they were all about wedding plans and Pilates classes.
Unfortunately the only thing we can be sure of when speaking about Hillary Clinton is that she and the truth are complete strangers.
What say you?
